Silvalac is carbon neutral, we reaffirm our commitment to reduce our environmental footprint

At Silvalac we have achieved Carbon Neutral certification, an important step in our commitment to environmental improvement. This certification reaffirms our focus on reducing our carbon footprint, positioning us as a benchmark for responsible practices within our sector.
This achievement has been made possible thanks to our close collaboration with Alvarez Forestal, S.A. This company, also from Armando Alvarez Group, sustainably manages more than 3,500 hectares of forest land, which allows us to effectively offsetting large amounts of CO₂. Thanks to these forests, we are able to offset the carbon emissions generated in our operations, ensuring that our impact on the environment is neutral.
These offsetting measures are carried out in parallel to the ambitious decarbonisation plan implemented by Armando Alvarez Group, with targets projected up to 2033. The strategic plan focuses on the progressive reduction of emissions throughout our value chain, from production to transport and use of our products. Our goal is to progressively transform our operations to achieve a minimal carbon footprint, strengthening Group’s commitment to sustainable growth.
Commitment to a sustainable future
The Carbon Neutral certification is part of our actions to mitigate emissions and climate change, with the aim of minimising our environmental impact and thereby contributing to the well-being of our future generations.
In addition to carbon offsetting, we are implementing additional actions to improve energy efficiency, efficient management of our water resources and waste disposal. We promote responsible practices in every aspect of our business, optimising the consumption of raw materials while improving or preserving the properties and performance of our 100% recyclable products.
We also work to drive the circularity of plastics, within a comprehensive environmental sustainability framework guided by our Plastics Environmental Sustainability Plan: GoCircularPlastics which promotes the rational use of plastic products, thus integrating proper end-of-life management.
